Abstract: The results and analyses of the rodent infestation monitoring of domestic or field rodents for the eight-year in the area just outside a city in HuBei indicated that the domestic rodent of the area just outside a city consisted of Rattus norvegicus, R. flavipectus and Mus musculus mainly; Apodemus agrarius and R. losea secondly. The composition-rate of R.n. in the area just outside a city was higher than that of the country, but the proportion of the R.f. in the area just outside a city have been reduced year by year. The proportion of M. m. was increasing. The domestic rodent was different from the field one in the country and city. The population density of the domestic rodent in the country was obviously higher than that in the area just outside a city. The general-trend of the population density of the rodent:domestic-rodent has been reducing obviously. The other results were also reported in the paper.
