Abstract: Acute oral tonicity to Mus musculus albino of shashuxin which was produced by Liaoning Institule of Chemical Industry was determined with pouring stomach method:Male LD₅₀=58.8mg/kg,Female LD₅₀=48.37mg/kg.We observed the palatability of 0.05% Shashuxin and 0.005% Shashuxin which was soaked in broken popcorn to Mus musculus albino and the palatability was good Compared with nontoxic bait,the feeding indexs of 0.05% and 0.005% Shashuxin bait are 0.74 and 0.84,respectively Componed with 0.05% Natrium Qiphacin bait, the feeding index of 0.05%(the same concentration) Shashuxin bait is 1.04.Partial field trval was carried out with 0.05% Shashuxin in broken popcorn at some milk mill in Shenyang suburb.Siz days after baiting, the accumulative fecding rate of Rats and mice to the poisonous bait are 37.5%(in house) and 70.5%(outside),respeetively. Three weeks after baiting,only little bait was taken. At this time the density of rats and mice was reduced by 88.9%(in house)and by 80.2%(outside),respectively.
