Abstract: Objective To know the community structure and geography distribution and infestation rate of vectors in Qingdao.Methods Mosquito-light trap and scoop dipping and water net method were employed of mosquito in vestigation;trapping with biet was used for flis;night trapping and feeding method were used of redents;night trapping were used of cockroach.Results The primary vectors in Qingdao were(1) 3 families,5 genera and 6 species rodents with Rattus norugicus,Mus musculus,Apodemus agrarius pallas etc.acted as dominant species;(2) mosquitoes,the main commonly found species were Culex pipiens pallens,Cx.tritaeniorhynchus,Aedes togoi,Ae.albopictus,Anopheles sinensis etc;(3) flies,including four families;(4) cockroach species,including Blattella germanica,Periplaneta japonica etc.Conclusion We should strength the surveillance and control on vectors and vector borne disease in Qingdao,so as to provide a healthy environment for 2008 Olympic Sailing Games.
