Abstract: Objective To find the reasons for invasion and spread of Blattella germanica in commercial building in Shanghai.Methods Investigating the presence of Blattella germanica by insecticide irritating method using 0.3% Permethrin dissolving in alcohol in 5 random rooms every 2 floors,(if there is any restaurant or coffee bar in the floor,the upper and lower floors must be additionally investigated).Results The invasion rate of Blattella germanica was 58.33%.Conclusion Blattella germanica were taken into commercial buildings mainly with people and things,and then migrated through central air condition pipings and cracks in kitchen.
