Abstract: Objective To observe on collecting mosquitoes in human rooms by animal-shelter on July,2001.Methods To collect mosquitoes by CDC human rooms during nights and to use local cows as the animal-shelter under human houses.Results The collected mosquitoes belonged to 22 species,9 subgenus,5 genus,2 subfamilies;There was no significant difference between the animal-shelter and the non animal-shelter( t<t_0.05),but the numbers of anopheles(78.833 per night) were more than those of culex(55.167 per night) for the animal-shelter;the efficiency of collecting mosquito for the animal-shelter was almost the same as that for the non animal-shelter(t<t_0.05),and both the rain-fall and the temperature had relations with the animal-shelter.Conclusion The efficiencies of avoiding mosquitoes in the Dai-national house was not good with the animal-shelter method.We suggest that it may be better if we put the animal-shelter outside village.
