Abstract: Objective To evaluate the efficacy of the capturing rodent by an innovative patented rodent snap trap.Methods The new snap traps were set in the evening and checked in the next morning,and break back trap was used as contrast.Results The capturing rates of commensal rodent were 10.65%(10.67%-10.63%)and 10.67%(4.00%-17.33%) respectively,for the new traps and break back traps,while the capturing rates of wild rodent were 1.33%(0.50%-3.00%) and 5.67%(3.50%-10.00%) respectively.Conclusion The new trap is suitable to capture commensal rodent,not to wild rodent.
