Abstract: Objective To investigate the control effectiveness of the field rodents and the density restorative situation of rodent population,which would aid for effective measures in rodent control.Methods To study on the censuses and analysis the relation between the recovery of rodent population after chemical control and the regimen of PoYang lake,and to reveal the vulnerable spot in the rodent control work.Results The recovery rate of population after using rodenticides was very fast when there were only once control activity with rodenticides in spring,sometimes the rat density was higher than that at the same time last year.If there were twice,the lower rat density would obtain.Conclusion For successful rodents control near by PoYang lake,the rodent control with nodenticide must be combined with improving general sanitary,and it was effective to carry out twice control programmes with rodenticides in spring and in autumn.
